CJP Chief Abhijeet Dipke Informed Of Grandmother's Death In Detention

Delhi Police has informed Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke of his grandmother's death while he remains in detention in the capital. Dipke and other party leaders were detained after arriving in New Delhi from Mumbai to participate in a proposed protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police sources stated it is now up to Dipke whether he wishes to stay in detention or fly back for the last rites in Maharashtra's Hingoli district. His 85-year-old paternal grandmother, Savitribai Shankarrao Dipke, died following a prolonged illness on Saturday morning. Family sources reported that Dipke had been unable to visit her over the past 20 to 25 days due to his political activities and subsequent detention.
