· India · Times of India, NDTV
Cockroach Janata Party founder Abhijeet Dipke was heckled at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport upon returning from his hometown. A crowd member called him a CIA agent, while another confronted him over his party's recent actions. The confrontation followed an incident where CJP co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka climbed a gate at Jantar Mantar to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Das and Ranka were subsequently sentenced to five days in judicial custody by a Delhi court after signing a peace bond. Reacting to the arrests, Dipke challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to officially declare an Emergency rather than target dissent.
