Cockroach Janta Party co-convenors Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka criticised a self-declared liberal ecosystem on Saturday for denouncing founder Abhijeet Dipke. The remarks followed a major CJP-led protest at Shivaji Park in Mumbai demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged electoral roll revision irregularities. Although neither leader named a specific political party, Das claimed that a section of people belonging to another party believe they alone hold the responsibility of saving the constitution. Assam Congress spokesperson Reetam Singh responded by claiming CJP workers had declined Congress assistance in Assam due to directives from the Aam Aadmi Party.
