CJP Protest Disrupts Central Delhi With Over 70 Roadblocks

Heavy traffic snarls hit Central Delhi on Saturday as police set up barricades near Jantar Mantar and Connaught Place to manage protests. Demonstrators, led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), gathered to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Traffic restrictions and vehicle checks began at 6 am, turning Google Maps red with more than 70 roadblock signs across key stretches including Janpath, Barakhamba Road, and Sansad Marg. Alongside road closures, authorities suspended mobile internet services in parts of Central Delhi for 24 hours starting Friday night. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also closed entry and exit gates at 57 stations from Friday evening until normal operations resume.
