CJP Protest: Mumbai Trains Cancelled, Rajdhani and August Kranti Rescheduled

The Railways cancelled five Mail and Express trains and rescheduled two Rajdhani Express services ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party's planned protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10. Western Railway announced the Mumbai Central-New Delhi Rajdhani Express (12951) and Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express (12953) would be delayed by five hours. Other cancelled trains include the Bandra Terminus-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (12247), Dr Ambedkar Nagar-New Delhi Express (20155), Indore-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (09309), Indore-New Delhi Express (12415), and Sabarmati-New Delhi Express (12957). The disruptions are attributed to anticipated severe traffic congestion around New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations, with passengers advised to check updated schedules before travelling.
Why it matters
Over 5,000 Western Railway passengers and more than 1,200 Central Railway commuters face disrupted travel plans, with only online ticket holders eligible for automatic refunds while PRS counter buyers must visit counters to claim refunds or rebook.
