Cockroach Janta Party co-convenor Saurav Das claimed he received an email stating that Anganwadi workers in Madhya Pradesh were ordered to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 76th birthday or face disciplinary action. According to the email shared on X, workers were instructed to gather rural women, distribute lighted diyas, take photographs, and record videos praising the Prime Minister and government schemes. Das criticized the directives as authoritarian and accused the government of manufacturing gratitude through internal departmental pressure. He argued that the government should instead focus on addressing structural issues faced by Anganwadi workers, such as poor pay ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000, heavy workloads, vacancies, and a lack of social security or healthcare. The communication also noted that cities like Jabalpur and Khajuraho are organizing massive diya sessions involving over 2.5 lakh diyas for the occasion.
