CJP spokesperson Saurav Das filed a petition in the Delhi High Court on August 21, 2026 seeking a permanent injunction against commentator Abhijit Iyer Mitra and several law portals, media platforms, X and Google. Das alleges that the defendants trespassed into his rented room in Greater Kailash, filmed the interiors and published his residential address, his parents’ details and his sexuality on X.
