This program supported nearly 2 billion people by facilitating cross-border coordination and public data access for disaster reduction. Himalayan glaciers are currently losing mass 65% faster than they were a decade ago, increasing the frequency of landslides and glacial lake outburst floods. Experts warn that these funding gaps leave vulnerable regions exposed to billions of dollars in avoidable damage.
