The feature operates through Cloudflare's Monetization Gateway, allowing automated software agents to pay micro-fees for online services without human credit card entry. Currently in closed beta for US-based buyers and sellers, the system utilizes Coinbase's x402 payment standard and settles transactions on the Base blockchain network. Cloudflare plans to expand the feature and achieve general availability by early 2027.
