Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has ordered the removal of Gwalior’s City SP and the suspension of eight other police personnel following a fatal accident at the Sheetla Mata temple. A truck with a Punjab registration number entered a prohibited zone at approximately 1:30 am on Sunday, running over devotees and causing a temple wall to collapse. The incident resulted in 14 deaths and 28 injuries, with seven victims in critical condition. The Chief Minister has announced compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased and ordered a detailed investigation into the security lapses.
