CNG Prices Rise In Delhi-NCR
· Business · Times of India, Zee News, Hindustan Times
Compressed natural gas (CNG) prices have increased in Delhi-NCR by Rs 3.89 per kg. The new rates came into effect on August 29. In Delhi, CNG will now cost Rs 86.98 per kg. The price hike is due to higher international LNG prices, driven by the Middle East conflict. This is the fifth increase in CNG prices this year. The conflict has continued for almost six months, pushing crude prices above $90 per barrel.
Why it matters
Commuters in Delhi-NCR who rely on CNG will face higher fuel costs. This price hike will affect auto-rickshaws, taxis, and goods carriers in the region.
