AI coding startup Cognition AI secured $2 billion in a Series E funding round, bringing its total valuation to $48 billion. The investment was led by new investors Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with participation from existing backers Founders Fund, General Catalyst, and Avenir. The company reported its run-rate revenue grew from $492 million to nearly $900 million since its previous round in May. This latest valuation nearly doubles the $26 billion figure recorded just six months prior. Cognition AI develops autonomous software-engineering agents capable of planning, writing, testing, and deploying code with minimal human oversight.
