Commercial LPG and Aviation Turbine Fuel Prices Increased

· Business · Times of India, Zee News

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of 5kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 2, raising the cost to Rs 764 effective September 1. This revision follows two consecutive months of price reductions for commercial LPG. Simultaneously, the price of Aviation Turbine Fuel for domestic airlines has been hiked by Rs 6.28 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs 121.28. There has been no change in the pricing for domestic LPG cylinders used by households. The adjustments follow shifts in global energy markets and ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Why it matters

The LPG price hike increases operating costs for restaurants, hotels, and catering businesses. The rise in ATF rates may impact the operational expenses of domestic airlines.
