Heavy rainfall on Friday afternoon flooded several parts of Delhi, including the Indira Gandhi International Airport, leaving passengers stranded in waterlogged terminals. The Congress posted on X that under PM Narendra Modi's guidance, a "beach view" had been arranged for passengers "enjoying the waves of rainwater" at the country's busiest airport, which handles more than 1,300 daily flights. AAP's Saurabh Bharadwaj shared an inundation video and asked, "Have you been to Venice?", while CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke posted "7.8% growth", a dig at the disputed GDP figure. Two passengers, Mansi and Himanshi, told reporters they had waited half an hour for water to recede at the arrival gates. A separate 10-km traffic jam stalled the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway from Shiv Murti near Mahipalpur to Udyog Vihar Phase-IV in Gurugram, stranding hundreds of commuters for hours.
