The Opposition has targeted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar after an Indian Express report revealed that two Election Commissioners objected to poll panel decisions. Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi reportedly called actions regarding new voters unauthorised and illegal, warning against centralising voter database access in Delhi. Reacting to the findings, the Congress accused Gyanesh Kumar of ruling like a dictator and engaging in vote theft. Congress leader Manish Tewari suggested an invisible hand is running the Election Commission, adding that non-unanimous decisions make poll panel actions arbitrary. The Congress posted on X that Prime Minister Modi and Gyanesh Kumar have damaged democracy.
