Ramesh raised multiple objections, noting that the press release did not properly refute findings of voter disenfranchisement and only offered defensive justifications. He criticized the Commission for extending deadlines in select states while leaving voters in regions like Karnataka, Telangana, Bihar, and West Bengal without answers. The opposition leader also dismissed the decision to involve IIT and IIIT experts to review the ECINET portal as an inadequate safeguard.
