Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that India has entered a new era of performance politics, declaring that corruption, casteism, and dynastic politics have ended since 2014. Addressing a press conference, Shah announced the month-long 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' campaign, which will run from September 17 to October 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday and 25 years of rule in Gujarat and the Centre. He contrasted the current administration with the pre-2014 era, criticizing the opposition Congress for policy paralysis and coalition compulsions. Shah also highlighted strong foreign and defence policies guided by an 'India First' principle, alongside economic growth that propelled India into the top five global economies with a first-quarter GDP growth rate of 7.8%. Additionally, he cited the resolution of long-standing security challenges including Article 370, Naxalism, and the situation in the Northeast.
