CRPF jawan injured in gunfight, houses burnt in Manipur’s Senapati district: Police

A CRPF jawan sustained injuries during a gunfight between two groups in the Taphou Naga area of Manipur’s Senapati district on Monday. The violence followed an earlier incident of arson at Taphou Kuki village in Kangpokpi district, where miscreants torched a house at 2:30 am. Subsequently, several houses were set ablaze at Naga Taphou in Senapati district at 4 am. Protesting locals gathered at Senapati Gate to block National Highway 2 with burning logs and tyres, disrupting traffic. The injured CRPF personnel was admitted to the Senapati district hospital and is currently out of danger.
