· Sports · Sportstar, ESPNCricinfo, Business Standard
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has traded Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in exchange for Liam Livingstone and Jack Edwards. England all-rounder Livingstone joins CSK for a reduced fee of Rs. 6 crore, while Australian all-rounder Edwards moves to Chennai for his auction price of Rs. 3 crore. India pacer Khaleel returns to SRH for his existing fee of Rs. 4.8 crore, and Ellis joins Hyderabad for his auction price of Rs. 2 crore. The double-player trade was completed ahead of the IPL retention announcement on November 17. The IPL mini auction is scheduled for December 16.
Why it matters
The swap reshuffles key all-rounders and bowlers for both franchises, affecting squad depth and auction calculations ahead of the retention window. CSK gains two experienced overseas all-rounders, while SRH recovers an Indian pacer and an Australian specialist batsman.
