Dalits Allege Forceful Eviction from Chairs at Rajasthan School Independence Day Event

The Rajasthan Police have lodged an FIR after several Dalit residents alleged they were forced off chairs during an Independence Day function at a government school in Bhakliya village, Bhilwara. Complainants Rameshwarlal Bairwa and Gopilal Bairwa stated that the incident occurred on August 15 when upper-caste attendees hurled caste-based slurs and demanded they sit on the floor instead. The victims claimed the intimidation happened in front of schoolchildren and teachers, causing severe mental trauma and threatening the livelihood of two women working at a local Anganwadi. Bagor police station SHO Bachhraj Choudhary stated that the investigation has been handed over to Deputy SP Rahul Joshi. Audio and video recordings of the verbal altercation have been collected as evidence.
