The latest death raises the toll from the recent militant firing to three, following an attack that also left two Naga civilians dead. The victim, identified as Ashiho Sani, died early Sunday morning, while another injured man named Adani Manio remains under medical care. Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh condemned the killings on X, noting that over 60 people have died in violence this year. The latest attack occurred shortly before the United Naga Council announced the suspension of its four-month-old economic blockade along State highways.
