Deepti Sharma became the leading wicket-taker in women’s T20I cricket after a historic 3/0 spell against Thailand in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. Playing her 150th T20I in Dubai, Sharma moved to 171 career wickets, surpassing Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong. Her performance included a double-wicket maiden and helped India secure a 94-run victory. Sharma is the first Indian bowler to take three or more wickets without conceding a run in a Women's T20I.
