Delhi Couple Arrested by Special Cell for Running ISI Espionage Network

The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a Delhi-based couple for allegedly operating an espionage network backed by Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence since 2024. Investigators identified the suspects as 25-year-old Sahil and his 21-year-old wife Sameera, with links traced to handlers in Karachi and Islamabad. According to police, the couple obtained eight Indian SIM cards and smuggled them to Pakistan via Dubai in exchange for Rs 30,000 to activate WhatsApp accounts for intelligence operatives. Officials stated that Sahil also conducted reconnaissance of military cantonment areas and gathered information on Army personnel facing court-martial proceedings. The investigation began after police traced suspicious mobile phone communications following Sahil's arrest from Chand Bibi Camp in Sarai Kale Khan.
