Delhi Couple Held for Sending SIM Cards to Pakistan's ISI

Delhi Police's special cell arrested a married couple — 25-year-old Mohammad Sahil and his 21-year-old wife Sameera, both from South Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan — for allegedly procuring Indian SIM cards and routing them to Pakistan via Dubai for an ISI-led espionage module. Investigators said the cards were activated on WhatsApp from Pakistan, allowing operatives to infiltrate Indian groups and gather sensitive information related to Indian defence. Police seized two mobile phones containing what they described as incriminating chats with Pakistani handlers. The couple was tasked with recruiting in India for reconnaissance of cantonments and for sharing details of Indian Army personnel facing court-martial, DCP Narra Chaitanya said. The tip-off came from intelligence about the ISI-backed network operating in Delhi and the National Capital Region, and the module had already recruited others for logistical support.
