The Delhi government has withheld the current duty charge (CDC) of additional Deputy Commissioner of Police assigned to ACP Vivek Bhagat. Mr. Bhagat faces accusations of sexually harassing a woman journalist during a protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar in New Delhi. The government stated the proposal to confer the charge was initiated on August 25, well before the recent events. Mr. Bhagat requested to forgo the assignment until a full inquiry into the harassment allegations is completed.
