Delhi High Court Objects to Shoorveer Song in Mirzapur Film

The Delhi High Court has raised strong objections to the inclusion of the song Shoorveer, which is associated with Maharana Pratap, in the climax sequence of the film Mirzapur. A bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia observed during a hearing that revering violence through such a song is not in good taste. The court directed the Central Board of Film Certification to decide within a week on a producer's proposal to replace the track with background music. The direction came in response to a petition filed by Prashant Kumar Singh seeking the song's removal from backdrop scenes featuring fictional gangsters.
