Delhi Man and Girlfriend Arrested for Plotting Wife's Murder

Delhi Police arrested a 22-year-old man, Md Lal Babu alias Zahid Ali, and his alleged girlfriend, Rukhsar Khatoon, in connection with the murder of his wife, Sabilla Khatun. Investigators stated that the couple wanted to marry each other, which served as the primary motive for killing the victim inside a bathroom in Delhi's Prahladpur last month. The arrests followed an extensive probe involving the scrutiny of more than 300 CCTV cameras across Delhi, Ghaziabad, Noida, Patna, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, and Mumbai. Police registered a case under Section 103(1) for murder at the Shahbad Dairy police station on August 29. Investigators also previously arrested the main accused's cousin, Md Osama, for allegedly providing shelter and facilitating Lal Babu's escape toward Bihar.
