Delhi Police arrested 39-year-old Dr Manish Sharma in Sukhdev Vihar after seizing banned and expensive cancer medications worth over Rs 50 lakh. Operating an online pharmacy named HK Pharmaceutical via the IndiaMART portal since 2023, Sharma allegedly sourced and sold high-value drugs, including Iclusig, Darzalex, and Human Albumin Solution. Investigators state the operation began in January 2024 when a blood cancer patient, having received Iclusig through a US patient assistance programme, sold two packs to Sharma for Rs 40,000. Sharma subsequently sold these restricted medicines to clients, including a buyer from Afghanistan.
