Chongtham Vikram Singh, a 55-year-old musician from Manipur and former lead guitarist of the 1980s band Phoenix, was beaten to death in New Delhi. The incident occurred on Sunday night around 11:30 pm in Kilokari village in south-west Delhi after Singh asked a group of young men to stop making noise outside his home. A heated argument escalated into a violent assault, and Singh later died from his injuries at Holy Family Hospital. Delhi Police have arrested seven young men, all under 36, in connection with the attack and promised prompt legal action. The exact motives behind the fatal assault remain under investigation.
