Addressing the 14th conference of the All India Vihar Seva group, Bhagwat noted that the world is currently grappling with contradictions between development and environmental protection, individual freedom and family life, and religious faith and conflict. He asserted that India possesses a vast treasure of knowledge spanning the Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, and Guru Granth Sahib that the world needs today. According to Bhagwat, the nation and dharma are interdependent, where the purpose of the nation is dharma and dharma helps sustain the nation. He added that India's historical tradition focuses on sharing knowledge without conquest or conversion to ensure the welfare of the entire world.
