Dipke Rebukes Athawale’s NDA Offer After Anti‑National Label

· India · Times of India, Indian Express

In Nagpur, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke posted on Instagram that a month earlier he had been called "anti-national" by Union minister Ramdas Athawale. Athawale has since invited Dipke to join the Republican Party of India (A), part of the BJP‑led NDA, urging him to enter politics to further Ambedkar’s vision. Athawale also said a cabinet reshuffle could happen soon and that new members from the BJP and its ally NCP might be inducted. The minister called on eight NCP MPs to join the NDA government if Chief Minister Sharad Pawar declines to join, urging the party to bridge ideological differences. Dipke has not yet indicated whether he will consider Athawale’s offer.

Why it matters

The dialogue illustrates the NDA’s effort to enlist leaders from smaller parties to expand its base and may influence how Dalit communities are represented in national decision‑making.
