Swati Bagrecha, a 50-year-old engineer, went missing near the Nepal-Tibet border on August 26 after an ice-rock avalanche triggered widespread devastation. The Canadian government has also reached out to Bagrecha's family to assist with the identification process. Officials in Vidisha and Raisen districts are coordinating the collection of samples to help Nepal identify victims of the disaster. The death toll from the floods has reached 1,282 as of Friday.
