A five-storey residential building known as Hostel Daze collapsed in the Satya Niketan neighbourhood of south-west Delhi around 13:30 local time on Sunday. Local police report at least one fatality and two critical injuries, while six people have been rescued so far. Eyewitnesses and local reports indicate that construction work was underway in the building's basement at the time of the incident. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta confirmed that an adjacent building was evacuated as a precautionary measure. Police are currently searching for the building owner to investigate the cause of the collapse.
