DRDO Successfully Tests Military Combat Parachute System in Ladakh

The Defence Research and Development Organisation successfully tested its new Military Combat Parachute System at the Nyoma, Mudh drop zone in Ladakh. Conducted at an altitude of 22,000 feet with temperatures reaching -15°C, the trial validated the system's performance in extreme high-altitude environments. The parachute was deployed at 20,000 feet, followed by a safe landing at 13,700 feet. Test jumpers Wing Commander Rahul Jha, MWO R J Singh, and MWO Vivek Tiwari utilized indigenous equipment including a para computer, oxygen system, and specialized jumpsuits. This trial confirms the tactical reliability of the system for Indian military operations in high-altitude regions.
