DRI Seizes 55 kg Methamphetamine Worth ₹300 Crore Near Mumbai

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 55 kg of methamphetamine, valued at approximately ₹300 crore, from a maize consignment at a container facility near Nhava Sheva port in Mumbai. Preliminary investigations link the shipment to a Pakistan-based narco-trafficking syndicate headed by Mohammad Hussain Dad. The syndicate allegedly coordinated with import-export firms to conceal the narcotics within 22 tonnes of maize intended for export. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the seizure, and further investigation is currently underway. This operation occurs as the central government intensifies its nationwide anti-drug efforts under the Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyaan.
