DU Student Alleges Eve-Teasing and Abduction Attempt in Mukherjee Nagar

A Delhi University student filed a police complaint alleging she was harassed and targeted in an abduction attempt by a group of men traveling in an SUV in northwest Delhi's Mukherjee Nagar area. The incident occurred around 9:30 pm on Wednesday when the student was approached by occupants of the vehicle who passed obscene comments and tried to pull her inside. Delhi Police launched an inquiry, traced the vehicle allegedly involved, and registered an FIR at the Mukherjee Nagar police station. The case has been filed under sections 78 for stalking, 79 for acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman, and 3(5) for common intention under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Deputy Commissioner of Police for Northwest, Akansha Yadav, confirmed that investigations are actively underway to apprehend the suspects.
