Dulquer Salmaan's I'm Game Hit by Distribution Delays and Show Cancellations in Hyderabad
· Entertainment · Indian Express, Times of India
Dulquer Salmaan's new film I'm Game faced major distribution hurdles in Hyderabad on its opening day after Digital Cinema Packages for the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada versions failed to reach theatres on time. Morning shows across multiple centers were cancelled, with Telugu screenings suffering the worst impact. Theatre owners and distributors also noted that low ticket occupancy contributed to some screenings being called off. The film, directed by Nahas Hidhayath and starring Dulquer Salmaan as gambler Dan John, had previously postponed its release from August 20 to avoid box office clashes during Onam.
Why it matters
The opening day cancellations disrupt box office collections for a major pan-India release and frustrate audiences who booked tickets in advance across multiple language markets.
