Dunes Aviation has filed a Rs 3-crore civil defamation suit against actor Nora Fatehi in a Gandhinagar court. The company alleges that Fatehi caused severe reputational damage by posting social media videos in which she described a chartered Cessna Citation CJ2 aircraft as a 'lego airplane' and a 'toy.' The aviation firm claims these comments were reckless and lacked factual basis, leading to a 15-20 per cent drop in bookings and increased cancellations. The company asserts that the aircraft is fully certified by the DGCA and operates under a valid permit. The court is scheduled to hear the matter on September 25.
