ED Arrests Ghee Supplier In ₹230 Crore Adulteration Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Kailash Chand Mangla, promoter of Sukriti Foods Pvt. Ltd., for allegedly supplying adulterated ghee worth ₹230 crore to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) between 2019 and 2024. Mangla was arrested under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and produced before a Special Court in Visakhapatnam. Investigations revealed that the adulterated ghee was manufactured using refined palm oil, palm kernel oil, and chemicals, then sold as Agmark Special Grade Cow Ghee. The ED also alleged coordination with front entities to conceal the fraud. Further arrests and investigations are ongoing.
