The Enforcement Directorate arrested Kailash Chand Mangla, director of Sukriti Foods, on September 17 in connection with the Tirupati Laddu prasadam adulteration case. The agency stated that Mangla was taken into custody as part of its investigation into the alleged use of palm oil and other substances in the ghee supplied to the Tirumala temple. The probe stems from allegations that substandard ingredients were used in the sacred offering distributed at the Tirumala Venkateswara temple.
