ED letter against Vijayan, daughter, Riyas to be examined as per law: Minister Chennithala

Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala stated that the state police will examine a letter from the Enforcement Directorate seeking an FIR against several Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter T Veena, and son-in-law P A Mohammed Riyas. The letter, sent under Section 66 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, cites findings from the ED's investigation into a CMRL-linked bribery case. The agency alleges that mining firm Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd paid ₹2.78 crore to Veena's defunct company, Exalogic Solutions, for IT consultancy. The Minister noted the police would follow prescribed procedures after reviewing the communication.
