ED Raids Former Uttarakhand CM's Aide in 2016 Recruitment Scam

The Enforcement Directorate conducted searches at multiple locations in Dehradun, including the residence of Chandan Singh Jeena, the personal assistant to former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Singh Rawat. The agency is investigating alleged irregularities in the 2016 Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari Examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission. During the raids, investigators seized ₹32 lakh in cash, gold coins, gold chains, and 12 luxury wristwatches. The agency also froze over ₹52 lakh in bank accounts belonging to Jeena and his family members. According to the ED, the investigation uncovered a conspiracy where OMR answer sheets were diverted to a private residence to fraudulently alter candidate scores.
