Engineer and Wife Found Dead in Bengaluru Rajarajeshwari Nagar

A civil engineer and his software engineer wife were found dead at their rented accommodation in Bengaluru's Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Friday afternoon. The deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Sumant Jain and 29-year-old Padmavathi. According to police, the couple had an argument on the night of August 13, following which Jain purportedly sent an audio note to his mother stating he intended to die by suicide due to marital disputes. A preliminary examination indicates Padmavathi may have been smothered with a pillow before Jain died by suicide. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) Nagesh D L confirmed that Padmavathi's family members have filed a murder case.
