The Environment Agency warns that even with a wetter-than-normal autumn, regions like Devon, Cornwall, and East Anglia may face continued water scarcity. Current reservoir storage levels across England sit at 57%, which is roughly 20% lower than the expected average for this time of year. Scotland and Wales are also experiencing significant water scarcity and drought status respectively, with no prolonged rainfall forecast in the immediate future.
