Eravipuram Railway Station Development Set for January 2027 Completion

Developmental projects at the Eravipuram railway station in Kollam are scheduled to conclude by January 2027. The master plan includes upgrading both platform 1 and platform 2 to a standard height of 84 cm and extending their length. Additionally, the project features the installation of twenty cement benches and comprehensive tiling to improve passenger amenities. Protective fencing will be erected along the station grounds to enhance commuter safety and secure railway property. Officials confirmed the timeline during a site visit by N.K. Premachandran, MP.
Why it matters
The upgrades will allow passengers on long-distance and high-capacity trains to board and alight more easily, aligning the station's facilities with other major hubs in the network.
