Fambot Introduces AI Chief of Staff for Families
· Technology · TechCrunch
Startup Fambot has introduced a new AI assistant designed to help parents manage the administrative and logistical burden of children's activities, school events, and family schedules. Founded by former Instagram engineer and CTO Greg Karlin, along with CEO and former Uber product head David Reich, the company aims to function as a full-time personal assistant that proactively organizes daily routines. To operate, the platform connects with a family's email, calendar, and WhatsApp groups to generate daily checklists and future calendar forecasts. The company utilizes a combination of different AI models while guaranteeing that user data is not used for model training. Unlike text-message-based AI agents such as Poke or Instinct, Fambot is engineered to function across the web and through a traditional mobile app interface.
Why it matters
The platform directly targets working parents experiencing information overload from family logistics, aiming to reduce time spent on administrative tasks and increase family presence.
