Three members of a family, including a 14-year-old girl, died after getting into difficulty in the water off the coast of Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex on Tuesday. The victims have been identified as Hassan El-Khawas, 55, his wife Zeina Alayn, 37, and their daughter Sara El-Khawas. A second, younger daughter remains in hospital in a critical condition. The family, who were British citizens of Palestinian origin, had reportedly traveled to the coast from London on the day of the incident. Sussex Police stated the event is being treated as a tragic accident with no third-party involvement.
