Fashion App Daydream Launches iOS 27 Integration for Visual and Siri Shopping
· Technology · TechCrunch, MacRumors
Daydream has launched two new features built using Apple's iOS 27 developer tools to help iPhone users discover and buy clothing. The first feature uses image context to analyze saved photos in the iOS Photos app, identifying individual outfit pieces and matching them with products from Daydream's catalog of roughly 3 million items. The second feature introduces a Siri-powered natural-language search function that allows users to make voice or text requests without opening the app. CEO Julie Bornstein notes that the platform leverages fashion category expertise to deliver accurate results from credible brands. Users can further personalize results by configuring Daydream's Style Passport with their sizes, preferred brands, and budget details.
Why it matters
The integration changes how iPhone users discover clothing by turning camera roll screenshots and voice prompts into direct shopping searches without opening a browser.
