Ferrari Unveils Schumacher Tribute Livery for Monza

· Sports · Sportstar, ABC News (AU)

Ferrari will run a special livery on the SF-26 cars of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at Monza this weekend to mark the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher's first Italian Grand Prix win with the team. The design is inspired by Schumacher's first Ferrari, the F310, featuring red with white wings, black accents, seven stars, and Schumacher's M-S logo. Three cars from Schumacher's Ferrari career — the F310, the 248 from 2006, and the F2002 — will be on display, with the F2002 driven by Rubens Barrichello on Saturday and Sebastian Vettel on Sunday. Schumacher, now 57, won five consecutive drivers' titles with Ferrari between 1996 and 2006 alongside six successive constructors' championships. The German has not been seen in public since a 2013 skiing accident left him with a serious brain injury.

Why it matters

F1 fans attending the Italian Grand Prix at Monza will see a one-off tribute to Schumacher's most dominant era, while Ferrari — currently second in the standings — chases its first home win since 2024 with Leclerc and Hamilton.
