Uefa had previously alleged criminal mismanagement and personal profit by Fifa president Gianni Infantino, threats Fifa dismissed as baseless and legally overbroad. Infantino is set to run for a fourth term in March 2027, facing opposition and calls for resignation from multiple confederations over the controversial proposal.
